I'm with ntl. They offer loads of anti-virus stuff. Should I just go with
what they offer OR would I be better off d/ling your recommendations?

Get yourself Spybot from http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html
as well as being able to remove any spyware/malware you may have unwittingly
downloaded it also has an excellent "bad download blocker" and some degree
of prevention on the "immunisation" tab.

Ad-Aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
will also find and remove some stuff that spybot may of missed.

Also Windows Defender (beta) from
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
it's very good and it's free.

You can run it all along side Avast, but i don't know what NTL stuff you are
gonna get or even if you'd need anymore with that lot.

If you use OE you should get Spybot Search&Destroy and use the immunise
function, also UPDATE it now and again and run it.

http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html

Ad-Aware to keep check on diallers trojans and stuff

http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

And a decent firewall doesn't go amiss, I use an old version of Kerio but I
think there are more user friendly ones available like Zone Alarm or even
the Lavasoft one on the Ad-Aware site, though I have never tried it.

A pop up blocker like PopUpCop stops annoying things happening, like when
you click a porn link and a million windows open. You can get a free trial,
I have a keygen if you want to keep it.

I told you to stop downloading porn, but you didn't want to listen.
